My friend Dan (K7NXL) and I activated the Candy Mountain Summit today. First time for both of us doing Summits on the Air and we did well. I got 12 QSOs in as many minutes on 20M and Dan had 10 including 2 from Japan on 17M. Was a beautiful day, nice hike and a lot of fun.

The KX2 internal tuner tuned it for 17 and it worked surprisingly well.A closer view of the operating station. Candy Mountain has nice benches which make it an easy setup. The black bag closes to the viewer is my foldable stool that had I known about the benches wouldn’t have packed.
