I have wanted to activate for a long time but life kind of got in the way. Today, I made the short trek to Sacajawea State Park K-3259 and had a successful activation with exactly 10 contacts made. All the contacts were made on CW which was exciting and a little bit scary. I have been doing CW for many years but until recently couldn’t do over 15WPM. I am getting there now and it was nice to be able to do this activation only using CW.

I thank all the hunters that made contact with me including my new ham buddy Dan K7NXL who lives just down the road from me. We are looking to do some joint activations in the near future.
