In this video I go over the AlexLoop Hampack to give you an idea whether it is worth your $600 or not. I like it and it does really well particularly when you don’t have a lot of space to set up like a hotel balcony or a busy park. It also works good for closer in contacts but will also do DX. It isn’t going to be as effective for DX as a full size dipole or even a 1/4 wave vertical in many cases but then again, you can work all bands between 10 and 40 meters and switch between them pretty quickly. You do have to adjust tuning more often even if you are staying in a particular band segment but once you get the hang of it, that is not a problem.
